At its meeting today June 25, at 3:30 p.m. in the Majestic Room of the Five Flags Civic Center, the Five Flags Civic Center Commission will review, discuss, and potentially recommend that the City Council receive and file the Five Flags Civic Center Assessment and Study.

The community has been involved with the study from its early stages by participating in a public input survey.  Almost 1,100 people shared their opinions related to the Civic Center.  Consultant Conventions Sports and Leisure has now completed the study which contains an operational analysis, analysis of local market conditions, competitive and comparable facilities and markets, market demand analysis, analysis of development options and concepts, cost/benefit analysis, and naming rights and sponsorship opportunities analysis.  The study contains a comparable facility case study, comparable market demographic data, community survey responses, architectural concept and layout renderings, and capital cost estimates.

The final Assessment and Study is 249 pages.  The entire study, as well as history, minutes, and supporting documents are located at www.cityofdubuque.org/fiveflagsstudy.  The Assessment and Study will be on the July 2, 2018 City Council meeting agenda.  Residents and stakeholders who wish to provide input via the online survey are encouraged to do so by Friday, June 28, 2018, at 4:30 p.m..
