Kiss + Momoiro Clover Z Release Full ‘Yumeno Ukiyoni Saitemina’ Video
Kiss and Japanese pop group Momoiro Clover Z have released the full version of their surprising new collaborative song 'Yumeno Ukiyoni Saitemina' -- in the form of a seriously whacked-out video.
As you can see above, animated and real-life versions of the famous makeup-wearing rock group spend much of the video locked in a musical battle with the young singers amid an ever-shifting backgrounds of mountains, moons and oceans. It's the Saturday-morning cartoon of your dreams, basically.
Musically, the song toggles back and forth between keyboard-heavy pop and more traditional Kiss-style hard rock riffs and soloing. Other than a handful of backing "heys," Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley leave the vocal duties to their new partners.
'Yumeno Ukiyoni Saitemina' is one of two songs Stanley co-wrote for this collaboration. The second, 'Samurai Son,' will appear on the 'Kiss Version' of the single's two CD releases. Momoiro Clover Z will also be opening for Kiss at their March 3 show at the Tokyo Dome, part of the group's trek through Japan, South America and Europe.
