Although the most serious charge against AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been dropped following his shocking arrest earlier this week, the musician could still potentially face up to seven years in jail if found guilty on one of the remaining charges.

It has also been reported that an internationally known New Zealand-based martial arts fighter was one of the two men Rudd allegedly asked a hitman to murder. The Daily Mail says the 46-year-old man, whose name and image have been hidden from their story, was allegedly threatened by Rudd back in September.

Although the largest of the four initial charges against Rudd -- that of attempting to procure a murder -- was quickly dropped by police, three other charges remain, including threatening to kill, which by New Zealand law carries a maximum sentence of seven years in jail.

As you would expect, a flood of sordid stories is also emerging from the drummer's hometown of Tauranga regarding the case. In addition to the report on the alleged murder target, the Daily Mail also has a detailed, though obviously not verified, account of Rudd's sexual and personal habits, which they obtained by interviewing local prostitutes.
