Steven Tyler fans won't have to wait much longer for a taste of his upcoming solo album.

The Aerosmith singer, who recently confirmed long-running rumors that he'd be taking a country slant on his debut full-length solo effort, broke the news on Twitter about a May 13 release for the album's first single.

The song, titled "Love Is Your Name," will make its premiere on the season finale of American Idol, where Tyler once served as a judge — and where he debuted his last solo single, "(It) Feels So Good," back in the spring of 2011. A title, release date and track listing for the new album remain to be revealed, but it seems likely that they'll follow shortly.

In the meantime, Aerosmith should keep Tyler plenty busy. The band will be back on the road this summer for a round of dates it's calling the Blue Army Tour, which is scheduled to begin June 13 and run through early August. Fans can also look forward to the pending release of a new live DVD, Aerosmith Rocks Donington 2014, which captures a 19-song set from the Donington stop on their Let Rock Rule tour.
