Frances Bean Cobain Is Selling Her Artwork Online
The news comes via NME, who found that Cobain has created an account over at depop. Calling herself "space_witch666," she currently has six prints available, with prices ranging from $200-400. She says that the prints are "normal sized," although she doesn't give the dimensions, and adds that "some special editions will be sold at a later date."
Frances, who turns 24 next month, has been in the public eye since birth, when a Vanity Fair article published reports that Love was using heroin during her pregnancy, which led to a custody battle that Love and Cobain won. She was not even two years old when her father killed himself in their Seattle home, and there were several other attempts by Kurt's family to wrest custody of Frances from Love over the course of her childhood.
Her art career began in 2010 with an exhibition at the La Luz de Jesus in Los Angeles called Scumf---. Last year, she served as the executive producer of Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, a documentary about her father that ran on HBO, even though she admitted that she doesn't "really like Nirvana all that much." She married musician Isaiah Silva in 2014, but they split earlier this year, with Frances attempting to shield him from her inheritance.
