HARDY played a show in Eastern Iowa on Saturday night, and the story of his interaction with a local server has since gone viral on social media!

As many of you already know (because you were there!), HARDY played the Great Jones County Fair in Monticello on Saturday night (July 19th). Those of us who were at the show heard HARDY mention a local business during one of his songs, The Blind Pig in Downtown Monticello. On Monday, the singer posted a video explaining the reference to the Iowa restaurant in more detail.

According to the video, HARDY stopped by The Bling Pig on Saturday afternoon to grab some lunch, and while he was there, he overheard his server tell another table that he had been having a tough week. Country Now reports that the server's name is Carter Kurt.

When Carter made his way over to HARDY's table, he asked the singer if he was going to the HARDY concert that night, not realizing who he was talking to! After the interaction, HARDY said in the video:

"I’m going to ask him if he wants to come backstage and hang out with us before the show, watch the whole show from side stage. Maybe bring us the flag. So hopefully he’s available tonight and we’ll make it happen.”

Shortly after, HARDY revealed his identity to Carter, and Carter happily accepted the invitation. Check out the video posted by HARDY below:

After his backstage experience, Carter posted a photo on social media talking about what a great time he had. The caption reads:

"Tonight was awesome to say the least, Michael Hardy is a hell of a human, super down to earth, respectable, and downright fun as s***. Tonight was a straight up out of body experience idek what to say"

The Blind Pig Monticello Facebook page also shared HARDY's video, praising Carter as an employee. The post reads:

"HOW COOL!!! Our Carter works so hard, we are incredibly lucky to have him here at the Blind Pig in Monticello - if anyone deserves this awesome gesture by HARDY and his crew, it’s him! YOU ROCK CARTER WE LOVE YOU!!!!!"

Carter isn't the only one who had an amazing experience at Saturday's concert. Brain and I were both there, and we BOTH agree that it's in our top three favorite Great Jones County Fair shows ever... and we've been to a ton of shows over the years! The next time HARDY finds his way to Iowa, we will definitely be there!
