Who Are the Savannah Bananas?

It all started in 2015. Minor league baseball left the city of Savannah for the first time in 90 years. The Savannah Bananas were born, and so was a completely different kind of baseball! Banana ball involves choreographed dance moves, batter walk-ups that feature a marching band, and epic celebrations that have fans coming back for more. Since their inception, the Savannah Bananas have sold out 200 consecutive games!

Where Will the Savannah Bananas Be Playing in Iowa?

Thursday night, the Savannah Bananas held a live viewing party during which they announced game locations for 2026. One of those locations is Iowa City, Iowa! The Savannah Bananas are coming to Kinnick Stadium!


University of Iowa Athletics will welcome the Savannah Bananas to Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City for two games, July 3rd and 4th, 2026! Games will start both nights at 7 p.m.

How Can I Get Savannah Banana Tickets?

Tickets for the Savannah Bananas games in Iowa City will NOT be through University of Iowa Athletics, but will go through the Savannah Bananas. Fans are encouraged to enter the ticket lottery HERE. The lottery closes at 11:59 p.m. on October 31st. Joining the list does not guarantee you a ticket to the games.
