Caitlin Clark Gets Her First Funko Pop, But You’ll Need to Act Fast to Get It
Few other sports figures are marketed to the extent of Caitlin Clark, especially this early in the 23-year-old's still-fledgling career. Clark was the subject of an exclusive set of Panini trading cards. She had her own custom basketballs sold at Hy-Vee. Her own branded cereal is also now available at Hy-Vee. Oh yeah, and the Iowa Lottery just held a contest where tickets to an Indiana Fever preseason game was the coveted prize.
Now, Clark is among a handful of WNBA superstars getting her own Funko Pop figure, per a release from the collectible company this week. While Funko has partnered with the NBA in the past, allowing fans to create vinyl figures of themselves featuring team logos emblazoned on their likeness, the WNBA has yet to get similar treatment. Until now.

A few years ago, the demand for WNBA Funko Pop figures would probably be minimal. But Clark's impact on WNBA ratings and general interest has been nothing short of meteoric. So, of course she is one of four stars getting her own figure, along with the likes of A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces); Angel Reese (Chicago Sky); and Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty).
Funko, on the other hand, needs no introduction. Their revenue exceeded $1 billion in 2024, and they are continuing to release numerous figures based on a variety of licensed properties, including those owned by Warner Bros, Marvel, Major League Baseball (MLB), Disney, and more.
Why Funko Partnered with the WNBA:
Funko CEO Cynthia Williams released a statement in conjunction with the press release regarding the forthcoming WNBA figures, saying:
At Funko, we believe fandom has no boundaries and we are incredibly excited about this relationship. The recent rapid rise of the WNBA, the power of its players as engaging brand ambassadors, and its passionate fanbase are a testament to the power of sports culture. Bringing these trailblazing athletes to our Pop! lineup is not just about collectibles—it’s about celebrating the energy, talent, and influence of women’s basketball - Funko CEO Cynthia Williams, per a press release
When Caitlin Clark Funkos Go On Sale:
Those who want to add Caitlin Clark to their collection of Funko Pop figures, or perhaps just want to have a piece of the Iowa legend on their shelves, will have the opportunity to get one very soon. Per Funko's press release, Caitlin Clark and the other three WNBA Funko Pop figures will go on pre-sale on May 14th, 2025 via Funko's website.
Once the pre-sale is live, a release date will likely be revealed too. Having pre-ordered the Ed, Edd n Eddy Funko Pop figures back in March (for release this month), my guess is the WNBA Funko Pops will be released/shipped sometime in July.
