Illinois’ Favorite Ice Cream Flavor is Kind of Shocking

National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 21 and you most definitely want to celebrate. But will you celebrate with something more exciting than Illinois' favorite ice cream flavor?

Pretty much every day, there's a 'National' holiday. Some of them are actual holidays when we don't have to go to work or school, and then there are others that don't really cause for a huge celebration BUT when we're talking about something as delicious as National Ice Cream Day, we totally need to honor the day!

National Ice Cream Day is the third Sunday each July, which this year falls on July 21.

Keep your eyes out because there are so many places that are giving you a chance to score free ice cream on Sunday.

Most of these are National Chains and they'll likely want you to download their app in order to get the freebie, but hey, you can always delete it afterward if you want!

I will totally be celebrating National Ice Cream Day on Sunday but it's highly unlikely I'll celebrate with Illinois' favorite flavor accord to Holiday Calendar.

Even though I swear I've seen other studies that has Illinois' top flavor as Blue Moon, this time around we're clocking in as boring with vanilla taking the number 1 spot.

I mean, sure it's the most common flavor, and everyone likes vanilla ice cream, but as a favorite flavor? No way!

I'd much rather have chocolate or rocky road! Or cookie dough, or cookies and cream or butter pecan or my top flavor of all time, Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Therapy.
