There's something really magical about summer in the Midwest.  The second winter ends, all the snow melts, and the temperatures start rising, we are itching to get outside!

Live music outside, food trucks, local farmer's markets, festivals, outdoor movie nights, flea markets, road trips to Wisconsin—there's really no shortage of things to do around here when summer nears.  If you hang around long enough, you'll notice there's one tradition around here we can't get enough of.

No, it's not retail therapy, it doesn't cost a lot, and it doesn't have to really involve a lot of people if you don't want it to.  It does tend to draw a few close friends and neighbors, though—and maybe the one annoying family member you didn't actually invite.
