Abandoned Illinois Property Among America’s Ten Most Haunted Places
Ready to get your fright on?
Lucky (or unlucky) for you, one of America's most haunted places in our state.
Timeout listed the 19 most haunted places in the U.S. and mentioned one spot in Illinois you should check out.
That is if you want to scare the bejeezus out of you because this place sounds creepy.
It's Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, located in Chicago. Timeout ranked it the 10th most haunted place in America.
Timeout says the abandoned Bachelor's Grove Cemetery wasn't just a "dumping ground for bodies," alleging Chicago mobsters used the grounds back in the 20s and 30s.

When it comes to the spooky things at the cemetery, Timeout includes "seriously creepy stuff" like "collisions with vehicles that aren't there" and mentions a spirit who "walks the grounds holding her baby during the full moon."
The thing that most interested me was the phantom farmhouse, which apparently "shrinks as you get close and then disappears" completely.
Of course, many videos on YouTube support Bachelor's Grove's haunted claims.
This one says they are hearing disembodied voices. Creepy, right?
This is another from just a few months ago, so I guess it shows that despite the cemetery being abandoned, it is still getting visitors as recently as this year.
Whether you believe in ghosts or the supernatural, you have to admit it's pretty cool that one of the most haunted places in America is right here in Illinois.
