Cutest and Most Unlikely Friendship Spotting in Eastern Iowa [VIDEO]
This budding friendship will be one of the cutest things you see on the internet all day. Immediately, this is the song that came to mind when learning about this new friendship!
It turns out that dogs might not only be 'man's best friend.' Just about anyone or anything could use a trusty dog companion. Sometimes two buddies/girlfriends just want to go for a stroll together and enjoy an afternoon. That's exactly what happened when these two were spotted walking around Tipton, Iowa.
When did you last see a deer take its dog for a walk? Or is the dog taking the deer for a walk..? Either way, we might've found the next script for a children's movie. This paring could be the subject of Bambi 2. I'm impressed with the deer's training of the dog! Taking a dog for a walk off-leash can be nerve-racking for any dog owner!
What would your dog do if it came across a deer while you were on an afternoon walk? I have an 8-month-old lab-mix and there's a good chance she would think this is just a big dog to wrestle with. While Nona is a pretty big girl, she'd quickly realize she's tiny compared to a deer and she'd likely run away. Not this big white doggy full of fluff. It just wanted a long-legged companion for the day!
The Tipton Police Department posted various photos of the dog and deer calmly strolling together down the street in multiple locations on Facebook. It truly looks like a couple of friends who were out shopping, grabbing an afternoon cocktail, and having an afternoon on the town! The Tipton Police Department was curious if they were checking out the progress on the Highway 38 construction.
Like every good party, they eventually must come to an end. The police department had to load these two into the back of their police cars and separate them because they were getting too close to traffic. According to People, the police department did not share any information on these animals, where they came from, or if they've had a relationship before their walk.
I wonder if they made plans to meet up again next Tuesday to do it all over again?
