Waterloo Community Invited to Cheer on Young Runners at Annual Event
Running isn't something everyone loves.

Fourth-grade students from schools across the city will lace up for a scenic downtown run, cheered on by families, friends, and community members.
The Mayor's Fun Run is About More Than Racing
Organizers say the tradition is about much more than racing.
The Fun Run highlights health, wellness, and community pride while encouraging students to build lifelong healthy habits.
“This event is more than a run, it’s a moment for our entire community to come together in support of our youth,” Mayor Hart said. “Every cheer from the sidelines helps show these kids just how much Waterloo believes in them.”
Residents and local businesses are invited to join the celebration.
Downtown shops are encouraged to decorate storefronts and welcome the runners, while families and community members line the streets to cheer on participants.
