I’m a big gaming fan. FPS, Survival/Horror, Action/Adventure, Puzzle/Strategy, and RPG’s. Bring. Them. On. For those of you like me, I like to keep tabs on all the new and exciting story lines, idea, and graphics; so, for the rest of 2022, lets take a look at some of the the top games coming your way. Even if I think Elden Ring is the best of 2022 already, the game at #1 could unseat it...

#10: As Dusk Falls

As Dusk Falls is a branching adventure game, where every choice you make has a consequence. Featuring a distinct artstyle, using real actors, illustrated in a dynamic world. The Description of “As Dusk Falls” is an original interactive drama that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Starting in 1998 with a robbery-gone-wrong in small town Arizona, the choices you make have a powerful impact on the characters’ lives in this uncompromising story of betrayal, sacrifice, and resilience. The game also features 8-player multiplayer. As Dusk Falls is expected to release July 19 for Xbox and PC.

#9: Saints Row

Instead of continuing with the insanity that was Saints Row IV, we are getting a reboot. Hey it looks pretty stylized and your guaranteed to get that GTA style play and feeling. But this time with more customization than ever before. The Saints Row reboot will release on August 23, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. Saints Row was meant to release on February 25th, but developer Volition announced in November of 2021 that the reboot had been delayed to allow for extra development time.

#8: Lord of the Rings – Gollum

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Daedalic Entertainment and co-published by Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon. It is based on The Lord of the Rings and follows the character of Gollum before the events of The Lord of the Rings. The decisions you make and the way you play have a direct influence on Gollum’s personality: Always struggling between the two sides embodied by Gollum and Sméagol, it is up to you to decide whether the darker side of Gollum takes over or if there is a spark of reason left in what once was Sméagol. One mind, two egos - you decide! As of now this game drops September 1st.

#7: Metal Hellsinger

I so want this game to be good. Doom on steroids. We’re talking the biggest names in rock and metal lending to a killer playlist while you traverse level after level of minions to unleash your fury upon. It high paced action-adventure, platformer, with a first-person shooter experience. Swing your war hammer. Drop your mighty fist! Singers like Serj Tankian of System of a Down and many other famous artists lend their tunes.

#6: No Mans Sky

The innovation of space exploration and procedurally generated worlds to explore all comes to Nintendo Switch. Release is currently scheduled for October 7th. An entire infinite universe to explore on the go and in the palm of your hands.

#5: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Yes; I had to put it on the list. I know these guys eat up more people’s paychecks than any other video game developer with microtransactions, but they also make a pretty killer game. This game drops October 28th.

#4: Scorn

This one COULD give you nightmares, but it’s supposed to I guess. Scorn is a visually repulsive take on what I can only assume is a world created by HR Gieger (Xenomorph/Aliens fame) and a Cronenberg film. Scorn drops on Xbox and PC on October 18th.

#3: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Of course Pokemon is back and probably Nintendo’s biggest money maker still today. Check out New Pokémon, new Professors and more. Learn new details about Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly the three Pokémon from which you’ll choose your first partner as well as other wonderful new Pokémon, including the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon! Pokemon drops on November 18th.

#2: The Last of Us: Part 1

Yes it’s a remake, but the stunning visuals will now match the already stunning story. You’re gonna’ want to experience or re-experience this take on an apocalyptic survival story. Can you survive the “clickers.” Relive the classic journey with Ellie and Joel, The Last of Us Part 1 is being remade for the PlayStation 5 and is coming out on PS5 and PC on September 2nd.

#1: The Callisto Protocol

Ok, this one looks terrifying, suspenseful, and totally sci-fi. A game like this has not aroused my curiousity since the Dead Space series ended, and those were masterpieces of survival/shooter/horror. Yea this one goes without saying is for MATURE audiences. Experience the “Dead Moon” on December 2nd.
