
Tom Drake has been working in radio since 2010 in the Dubuque Market where he's been keeping people company in the afternoons and taking care of local audio production. He graduated from Wartburg College where he played Soccer and was active in music. In fact, he spent the early part of his 20’s as lead singer of the rock band Beyond The Silence; opening up for touring bands like Caroline's Spine, Royal Bliss, Saving Abel, Bobaflex, Smile Empty Soul, My Darkest Days, Sevendust, Buckcherry, Live, and many others. His band also wrote and released two rock albums in Iowa, “Pitch Black Nothing” and “Shackled Society.” Tom stays active in his local community by coaching youth soccer and helping at his local high school by providing his musical talents. He is an avid hunter and outdoorsman and actively hikes with his family. He has hiked several national parks and mountain ranges across the U.S. including the Smokies, Rockies, and Black Elk Peak. He is an avid soccer fan supporting Manchester United, but also follows the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago White Sox.
