Along with a grateful nation, the Good Morning Rodeo celebrates the November 10 Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. One of the United States Armed Forces branches, the USMC, provides power & protection for the United States.

On November 10, 1775, in the lead-up to the American Revolution, the Continental Congress established two battalions of Marines as part of the fighting force for independence from Great Britain.

Despite being abolished after the Revolutionary War, Congress reestablished the Corps. naming it the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and positioning the branch to serve under the Secretary of the Navy.

The USMC has approximately 177,200 active duty service members. Additionally, nearly 32,400 personnel are in reserve.

RODEO REALLY TOUGH TRIVIA QUESTION

As luck would have it, and appropriately so, our winning caller, Brandon Sain, is a Marine Corps veteran. So, he was the ideal contestant to answer today's trivia question. Besides, it gave us an excellent opportunity to thank him and his Marine brothers and sisters for their service.

Our Rodeo Really Tough Trivia Question - Semper Fidelis, the Marine Corps Motto, is Latin for what?
A. Always Forthright
B. Always Fighting
C. Always Friendly
D. Always Faithful

Correct Answer - D - Semper Fi is Latin, meaning "Always Faithful." To each other, to our country, and the battles ahead. Semper Fi is the motto of every Marine.
