Bestway Sandwiches Inc., based in Valencia, California, initiated the recall after two consumer complaints. One individual discovered a piece of metal in the product, while another reported a dental injury caused by consuming the taquitos. No other illnesses or injuries have been reported, but consumers are urged to check their freezers for this product.

The affected taquitos were produced on July 3, 2024, and September 25, 2024. Customers who have purchased these items should immediately dispose of them or return them to Aldi for a full refund. The recall states that "approximately 24,870 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal."
