When fans showed up at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg, Sweden on Tuesday night (July 25), they expected to see Alice Cooper's backing band perform some songs ahead of their Liseberg show. What they weren't prepared for, though, was an appearance by the shock rocker himself!

Guitarist Ryan Roxie, when introducing "No More Mr. Nice Guy," says, "When you listen to this next song, close your eyes, think of something special...[guitarist] Tommy [Henriksen], hit it off, come on!" And for those who did shut their eyes, they got quite the surprise when a roar went up as Cooper emerged from the darkness and began singing the classic track.

The legendary frontman tore through four songs in total; "No More Mr. Nice Guy" followed by "Under My Wheels," "Lost in America" and "School's Out."

Cooper is in the midst of a European tour, playing Gröna Lund in Stockholm, Sweden tonight and wrapping up Aug. 6 at Lokerse Feesten in Belgium before heading back to the States for a series of shows. The tour is in support of his upcoming album, Paranormal, which comes out tomorrow.

Helmed by legendary producer Bob Ezrin, the album has two songs featuring the surviving members of the original Alice Cooper band -- drummer Neal Smith, bassist Dennis Dunaway and guitarist Michael Bruce. This November, they’ll be linking up for a short tour of the U.K.

Next month, Cooper will hit the road with Deep Purple, plus support from the Edgar Winter Group. For a list of all tour stops, head to this location.

Earlier this week, Cooper was in the news when it was revealed an Andy Warhol silkscreen, potentially worth millions of dollars, was found in his storage facility among a bunch of old touring equipment. "Yea, so this more or less beats that feeling you get when you find $20 in an old jacket," Cooper quipped in a Facebook post which linked to the story about the Warhol piece, which he intends to hang up in his house when he finally gets off the road.
