It's a great feeling when you're having a drink at the bar and somebody tells you, "I got next." Sweeter words are seldom spoken at an establishment.

The Milwaukee Brewers evidently think so too.

Brewers players Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, Andrew McCutchen, and others have elected to pick up the nightly tab at some of their favorite bars around Milwaukee. The random act of kindness will go throughout the 2022 season.

The event is fittingly called "This One's On Me," and it begins Friday, April 22nd. Yelich is first up to the plate. He'll be picking up a tab at an unknown bar in the Milwaukee area.

The Brewers will be picking up tabs on Fridays, specifically when they're on the road. The dates are as follows: May 6, May 13, May 27, June 10, June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, Aug. 12, Aug. 19, Sept. 2, and Sept. 23.

One bar/restaurant will be selected for each of those 13 remaining Friday away games during the season. Starting at 5 pm that evening, customers at the lucky establishment will see their bills comped by a certain Brewers player.

This kind of gesture goes a long way.

The fun already began at a Wauwatosa establishment ahead of opening day. Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes paid the entire tab at Leff's Lucky Town. You can see the roaring applause the move received at Leff's that evening:

The Brewers also announced additional giveaways for the 2022 season: Ticket Tuesdays and Fans First. On Ticket Tuesdays, the beloved mascot Bernie will stroll the streets of Milwaukee to hand out 1,000 ticket vouchers for the following Tuesday's home game. Fans First will surprise fans in attendance at American Family Field with everything from seat upgrades to concession vouchers and even autographed Brewers swag!

Fans are the real winners when it comes to Brewers games.
