Carnegie-Stout’s Art @ Your Library Excites With Local Artistry
According to a press release from the Carnegie-Stout Public Library, the public is invited to the Art @ your library artist reception tomorrow (2/3) from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The event features artists Lyndal Anthony, Catherine Basten, A. Alanda Gregory, and Joan Overhouse. It’s your chance to meet the artists and enjoy their varieties of artwork.
Lyndal Anthony is an experienced wood turner who will be providing a video demonstration of his wood turning techniques. Wildlife painter Catherine Basten brings animals to life on her canvas. A. Alanda Gregory highlights her creative artistry with unique stone wrapped jewelry, offering depth of colors and designs. Joan Overhouse is a wood burner, also known as the art of pyrography. She collaborates with Anthony by embellishing the wood turned pieces with her beautiful artistic flair.
While at the event, enjoy music by JazzQ featuring the faculty of Northeast Iowa School of Music, along with light refreshments. This is your opportunity to purchase a unique and one-of -a-kind gifts, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Purchases will support local artists and the Art @ your library program in Dubuque.
