Cascade’s New Library Opens with Plenty of Room to Grow
Have you heard about the amazing new Public Library in Cascade, Iowa? It's a fantastic update for my community and a true gem for book lovers and beyond. The new building is state-of-the-art. It blends modern design and features a warm, welcoming atmosphere that invites you to stay a while and read a book or hop online and browse the World Wide Web.
My family and I took our first trip to the new library to explore the latest addition to our local community and grab some books. My wife and I have been trying to get our twins as interested in reading as my oldest. It led to my son picking up a book on soccer that he has been reading each night, and my daughter Sawyer followed in the steps of her older sister opting for the first in the Harry Potter series. I was also thoroughly impressed by what I witnessed while I explored the library.
One of the most exciting features is the sheer amount of space this library offers now. The shelves, while hosting many of your favorites and classics also offer plenty of room to expand the already stellar collection. That means more novels, nonfiction, movies, and other media can easily find a home here in the future. Whether you're into classic literature, the latest bestsellers, or binge-worthy DVDs, this library has room to grow and is sure to meet the community's needs for years to come.
Beyond the impressive collection, the library offers cozy reading nooks, well-lit study spaces, and tech-equipped meeting rooms. This means it is an ideal spot for students, clubs, and local organizations to begin hosting their gatherings.

The design focuses on comfort and functionality, so whether you're curling up with a novel in front of the fireplace, enjoying a kid's book in the replica of Cascade's historic limestone silo, or hosting a brainstorming session in one of the meeting rooms, you'll feel right at home.
The new Cascade Public Library isn't just about books; it's a hub for creativity, learning, and connection. With flexible space and plenty of room to expand, it's sure to become a treasured update to our small community.
The hours are Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 6:30 PM, Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday 9 AM to Noon, with their book drop open 24/7. If you haven’t visited yet, it’s absolutely worth stopping by. There's something for kids and adults to explore and discover!
