New Cheesy Iowa Food Truck Delivers The Goods
This weekend was Cascade's Sunset Street Fest and my family had a blast enjoying all the sights, sounds, and tastes!
There was loads to choose from!
Cascade favorites like Happy Joe's and Moski's BBQ always deliver good eats, but this time my family was interested in a cheesier experience. That's So Cheesy Food Truck & Catering delivered on salty, sweet, and savory favorites.
Step right up and take a look at their menu.
When it came down to it, we decided to go with one of each; that basic 'wich with cheddar cheese for my twins, a Pepper-Own Me for my 13-year-old, and the BrieBerry Gobbler for my wife. Each was unique and satisfying.
The pepper-own me featured sourdough bread topped with marinara, spinach, and mozzarella cheese. It was rated highly by my teenager.
The BrieBerry Gobbler was that special combination of melty gooey salty Brie cheese, topped with Turkey and a sweet cranberry style sauce. Even the twins liked the flavor combo on this one, and one of them can be quite picky when it comes to her food.
The fun didn't stop there as edible cookie dough was also being sampled. And trust me I did.
My vote here was on the lemon blueberry; it was super delicious. Although, it's always hard to beat the cookies and cream combo, as Oreo's tend to be one of my favorites.
That's So Cheesy kept quite busy through the night and there was always a line of people waiting to sample the cookie dough or order a grilled cheese. I wouldn't have been surprised if they had sold-out before the event finished up. It's definitely one to try out if you catch it out and about. In fact, it looks like it comes through the area more than enough to get that "high-class" grilled cheese fix.
This Thursday (6/22) it looks like lunch will be served in Maquoketa if you're looking to try it out.
Overall the Sunset Street Fest was a roaring success in little town Cascade. Honestly, anytime you get to try something new in your smaller hometown, its usually a pretty good time.
