Beer and Conservation Go Hand-In-Hand in Dubuque
I'm not going to lie. I'm a pretty big fan of beer. When I say that, I mean I like to try various kinds, styles, and brands. I'm also a real big fan of the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, as several of my articles are proof of my love for all things animals and the museum itself. Now these two worlds are colliding in a stellar collaboration that marries conservation with great beer.

This week, Dimensional Brewing Company and the River Museum are relaunching their Conservation Cream Ale, a locally crafted beer brewed with purpose. The re-release officially kicks off August 7th during the River Museum’s Taste of Summer event, where guests can be among the first to enjoy the beer this year. The event itself will be a blast with this great beer, a dunk tank, live music, and awesome food!
While the ale is said to be "a smooth, crowd-pleasing classic," it’s the mission behind the brew that really stands out. A portion of proceeds from every pint sold will directly support the museum’s conservation and education programs, which help protect local ecosystems and inspire stewardship throughout the Tri-States.
For both organizations, this collaboration goes beyond just good vibes and great flavor. It’s about community, shared values, and a little creativity when it comes to supporting a great cause.
“It’s a meaningful way to support the incredible work being done at the River Museum.”
-Joe Specht, co-owner of Dimensional Brewing
Conservation Cream Ale will be available on tap at Dimensional Brewing in downtown Dubuque and served at River Museum events throughout the year. This includes weddings, corporate gatherings, and public programs. A special fundraiser night is also on the calendar for October 2nd, when museum staff will take a turn behind the bar at Dimensional for a night of drinks, donations, and conservation conversation (now say that 3 times fast).
For beer lovers and museum fans alike, it’s a perfect pairing. So, raise a glass with me and toast to raising awareness and river conservation.
