Dubuque County Fairgrounds Brings Holiday Fun

The holiday season is all hustle and bustle. Kids concerts. Family dinners. Grandparents to see. New additions to toast. And all that holiday shopping to finish up. YIKES! Why not take some time for you and the family to start a new holiday tradition; and a great place to start is the Dubuque County Fairgrounds.

The fun starts this Sunday, December 11th, with your chance to visit and take a stroll through the Christmas Village during this open house event. From 1 to 3pm swing by this free event, for the price of a canned food item to our local pantry and enjoy Christmas music while you take some family pictures by the big tree. See all the festive decorations and grab hot chocolate and cookies for just 3 dollars.

The following Sunday, December 18th, make sure to swing in for Breakfast with Santa! Your chance to bring the kids out and take a break from cooking. For just 10 dollars adults can enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, tater tots, eggs, apple sauce, along with orange juice, milk, and coffee. Kids ages 5 to 12 are only 5 dollars, while 4 and under eat for free.

While you're there, volunteers are on hand to help children decorate holiday crafts and the big man himself, Santa Claus, will be there from 9:30am to Noon to meet and take pictures with all the kids. Vendors will also be on hand to help you finish up your holiday shopping.
