"The job fair is an opportunity to learn about our seasonal positions, apply, and in some cases, interview and get hired for the 2023 season. Securing a job for the summer now will help seasonal employees plan ahead. We also want to get a good start on filling positions such as lifeguards. Our goal is to open both pools this summer, but that will only be possible if we have enough staff hired and trained by late April."

-Janna Beau, Recreation Supervisor Leisure Services

Those interested in lifeguarding during the 2023 season who are not lifeguard certified are encouraged to register for one of the four upcoming Lifeguard Certification Training Course options: Sunday, January 22nd; Sunday, February 19th; Sunday, March 26th; or Sunday, April 23rd. Complete details and registration information are available at www.cityofdubuque.org/lifeguarding. The certification course fee will be waived for those who interview and are hired as a lifeguard for the summer season.
