Now, Piper’s story… whoa. This sweet girl came to the shelter in rough shape and had to undergo emergency, lifesaving surgery. Thankfully, the team jumped into action, got her the care she needed, and she made a full recovery. That's because Piper is one tough cookie.

Piper is about 6 years old, and honestly, everyone at the shelter is a little surprised she’s still waiting for her forever family. She’s as easy-going as they come; super sweet, super chill, and just happy to be around people. She’s gotten along great with every human she’s met. Not to mention, the dogs she’s met at the shelter have all made her little tail wag, too.

And let’s talk quirks, because every good pup has a couple. Piper loves soft, squeaky toys, and she’s also been known to go on a little “treasure hunt” through the garbage if you’re not paying attention. That's something the staff learned firsthand when she got some quiet time in the office. Bottom line, Piper is an incredibly loving dog who’s ready for a home where she can relax and be adored. Maybe just keep an eye on your trash can.
