
Dubuque Police Investigating Death of Woman Found in Snow
Dubuque authorities are investigating the death of a woman found unresponsive in the snow on Monday morning.
According to a Dubuque Police Department news release, at around 8:56 AM on Monday, February 17th, local law enforcement responded to the rear of 2268 Jackson Street after receiving a report of an unresponsive person lying outside in the snow. Upon arrival, officers and Dubuque Fire personnel located the woman and began life-saving efforts.

The victim, identified as 29-year-old Alexandria Brown of Dubuque, was transported to Mercy Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. According to preliminary findings, Brown had been exposed to the elements for several hours before being discovered. An autopsy will be conducted at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny to determine the official cause of death.
