Dubuque TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event Returns This December
Good news for Dubuque-area travelers: getting through airport security is about to get a whole lot easier. The Dubuque Regional Airport is teaming up with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to host a TSA PreCheck enrollment event at the Capt. Robert L. Martin Terminal from Tuesday, December 16th, through Friday, December 19th.
TSA PreCheck is a trusted traveler program designed to make airport security faster and less stressful. Members enjoy shorter lines at more than 200 airports nationwide, and you can keep your shoes, belt, and light jacket on while leaving your laptop and small liquids in your carry-on. If you’ve ever found yourself shuffling bins and rushing to repack at the checkpoint, you know exactly how much time this can save.

For many Dubuque travelers, having a local enrollment event is a big win. Normally, signing up requires a trip to a larger airport or an enrollment center, but this event brings the service right here. Appointments will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM at Airline Ticket Office #2. You don’t need a flight to enroll, but TSA recommends booking online to reserve a spot. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows, but slots are expected to fill quickly.
Enrollment appointments usually take about 10 minutes. Applicants should bring documentation proving identity and citizenship or legal residency. Fingerprints and a photo will be taken for a TSA background check. The fee is $76.75 for a five-year membership and must be paid onsite by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check.
Once your application is processed, you’ll receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within about a week. Enter it when booking flights to enjoy the faster TSA PreCheck lanes.
Here’s a quick overview of the process:
- Make an appointment online or walk in as space allows
- Bring ID and proof of citizenship or legal residency
- Complete fingerprinting and photo for background check
- Pay $76.75 for a five-year membership
- Receive your KTN and use it when booking flights
With TSA PreCheck, travel through security becomes faster, simpler, and a lot less stressful, especially during the holidays. Don’t miss this chance to make your next trip a breeze.
