Last weekend I stopped through Kennedy Mall with my son to take part in their 50th-anniversary celebration. Music was pumping, people were enjoying snacks and other freebies. Everyone was smiling!

It was really nice to see such a large crowd enjoying the day.

We made our way down to Vertical Jump so my son, Jacob, could play a few video games.

On our way back through Center Court, I bumped into Khi Shireman, Marketing Director for Kennedy Mall, and told her what a great job she's doing revitalizing that energy in the mall.

She got a big smile and told me "we're just getting started!"

She's not kidding either! Today she sent me details on six new retailers that you can find (or will soon find) as you mosey through the hallways of Kennedy Mall.

Nerd HQ is a gaming lounge, catering to all genres of the "Gamer Nerd." They host casual and competitive play for the table-top, board, and video games and are now open near Hibbett Sports.

Next door you'll find The Tech Corner getting ready to open in November. They'll specialize in repairing and refurbishing a variety of phones and other electronic devices.

Glamvaganza is selling stylish jewelry, handbags, hats, and other accessories right next to their other new neighbor, Captured on Canvas, where they sell and teach the art of painting on canvas.

Botanicanna will be open soon, proudly providing Dubuque with farm-to-table natural remedies. This family-owned-and-operated hemp farm-to-sale shop and product line will be dedicated to providing you with some of the best quality products on the market at an affordable price using proprietary formulations. They will offer a large range of hemp products including CBD tinctures, baked goods, vapes, topicals, beauty products, hemp apparel, pet supplies, and more.

Finally, Caring Transitions of Eastern Iowa will open in the space next to Phoenix Theaters. They're a professional solution for relocation services including downsizing, decluttering, and estate sales for both full and partial liquidations.

As if Kennedy Mall isn't busy enough, they are hosting their children's "Searching for Kindness" event from October 11th to the 17th. They have Spirit Halloween open for all your costume needs and will soon host the Hills & Dales Halloween Harvest.

(We haven't even gotten to Black Friday and Christmas stuff, yet!)

So if it's been a minute since you've stopped in, make a point to stop through and see what's new. Khi and her crew are doing a phenomenal job and making Kennedy Mall an exciting place again!

As always, keep up with Kennedy Mall at their WEBSITE or on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
