The craft beer movement is alive and well in the Tri-States, and it's going retro this week with the Dubuque Star Beer Launch Party!

Dubuque Star Beer will be flowing once more from taps from 6 pm - 8 pm, Thursday, October 20th, in the taproom at Stone Cliff Winery, located in the historic Dubuque Star Brewery building at 600 Star Brewery Drive.

Dubuque and the Tri-States have a long and colorful beer brewing tradition, with the Dubuque Star Brewery being the oldest in the state, having been founded by the Rhomberg family in 1898.

Several years ago, the original brewery had fallen into disrepair but had undergone a meticulous renovation to become a historical anchor and exciting public venue at the Port of Dubuque.

For over a decade, the Stonecliff Winery has called the brewery home, and this weekend will mark the re-launch of Dubuque Star with plans for six to eight additional beers, including a pilsner, IPA, and a lager.

There are no plans to bottle or sell it elsewhere, so you'll have to make a trip to the historical brewery to imbibe.

The beers are being brewed contractually with Potosi Brewing Company, with plans to build an onsight microbrewery at the winery over the next year or two.
