Foghat fans will soon be able to buy the band's latest album, Under the Influence, on vinyl. The band's 17th album, Under the Influence was originally released June 24. The result of a successful crowdfunding campaign, the new LP cracked the Top 20 of Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart, underscoring Foghat's continued vitality after 45 years and counting.

The vinyl pressing, which spreads the record's 12-song track listing across two 180-gram LPs, is scheduled to arrive Oct. 21 and is set to be celebrated with listening parties at a handful of independent record outlets. Cactus Music in Houston, Music Millennium in Portland, Ore., Fingerprints in Long Beach, Calif., Record Archive in Rochester, N.Y. and Park Ave. CDs in Orlando are all confirmed to host Under the Influence events, with free posters and tastings of Foghat Cellars wine reportedly part of the program.

"A couple of things I love about new vinyl releases is the re-emergence of an old art form," enthused guitarist Bryan Bassett in a press release. "Album cover art and the return of high-quality analog audio played through great old stereos being pulled from the garage and resurrected."

"It’s black, it’s shiny, it’s beautiful and some really nice noises come out of it," added drummer Roger Earl. "And you can actually read the liner notes and see the photos!"

While Under the Influence works its way back to stores, Foghat remains on tour through the fall. Check the band's website for dates and ticketing information, and visit their online store to pre-order the new vinyl.
