As Foreigner wrap up the European leg of their 40th-anniversary tour and prepare to do it all over again in the U.S. next month, some of the band's original members are set to join them.

Bassist Rick Wills, who played with Foreigner from 1979-92, recently joined the band onstage in Spain for the classic "Hot Blooded" from 1978's Double Vision.

"It was great to have Rick Wills join us last night in Marbella and it certainly brought back some special memories," guitarist Mick Jones said. "Other original members will be joining us during the upcoming U.S. tour. All the original guys are out there playing live shows and working on studio projects. A performance by the entire original band for a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction next year would be a great way to cap off our 40th-anniversary celebrations."

The band recently released Forty Hits From Forty Years to help celebrate the occasion. The two-disc set features two new songs -- "The Flame Still Burns" and "Give My Life for Love" -- along with a career-spanning collection of songs from its catalog. Their last album of new material, Can't Slow Down, was released in 2009.

Foreigner will kick off the U.S. leg of their tour in Syracuse on July 11. Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience will be along for most of the dates. You can see the entire list below.
