Iowa DNR is Auctioning Long Guns
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is tasked with managing the sale of confiscated long guns like shotguns, rifles, and bows. The annual sale is currently underway. The auction is open to anyone who has the state and federal permits needed to make a purchase, according to the DNR.
What Kind of Guns Are Up For Auction?
The DNR reports that shotguns, rifles, bows, and scopes are up for auction. Handguns, AR platform rifles, and other miscellaneous guns are not included. All items are sold 'as is' with no guarantee or warranty. The Iowa DNR also reserves the right to reject any bid and withdraw items for sale at any time.
When Does The Auction Begin?
The Iowa DNR reports that the auction will begin on September 12th. However, there will be a special preview event on Friday, September 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m.
