Illinois Residents Not Likely to Survive Zombie Apocalypse

Do you think you'd totally survive if we had a zombie apocalypse? Think again if you live in the Land of Lincoln. Illinois would be one of the most dangerous states to be if we had one. 

Zombie apocalypse, it's hard to spell and hard for me to really understand, we talk about it like it's a think that might really happen, but is that true?

I don't know. What I do know is that if we DID have a zombie apocalypse, Illinois is not the place you want to be.

What is a Zombie Apocalypse?

Let's start with the definition of a zombie apocalypse. According to Wikipedia, a zombie apocalypse is 'a subgenre of apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction in which society collapses due to overwhelming swarms of zombies.'

Ok, now that we have that part explained. Why wouldn't you want to be in Illinois if we had one?

A new study from NoDepositDaily says Illinois is one of the top ten most dangerous states to be in if we had a zombie attack.

But why?

The study is all about Bing Maps data that the company use to determine the survival rate for each state.

While those of us in Rockford might have the Rock River (though I'm not sure that would support all of us... or that we really want to drink it...) there are some spots in Illinois that don't have direct access to fresh water.

Other factors that make Illinois a bad choice for zombie attack survival, our access to food and the population density.

Now if you're looking for a great place to live when zombies attack? That's Vermont, which took the top spot on the list, followed by Maine, Louisiana, Wyoming and New Hampshire.

Florida also made the top test list for best places to live during a zombie apocalypse, but I'm pretty sure I still wouldn't want to move there.
