Illinois’ Most Searched NFL Player Isn’t a Chicago Bears Star
If things couldn't have been bad enough for the Chicago Bears this season, this will only add salt to the wounds.
Illinois' Most Searched Player Isn’t Even a Bear
Surprisingly, according to new research, the most searched-for player in Illinois isn't a Chicago Bears player.
Let that sink in. The state in which the city in which Bears play finds a player from another team is so much more interesting that they are searching for things about them online.
If you're a Packers fan, I wouldn't boast thinking that Jordan Love or whoever is the most searched-for player in Wisconsin because he ain't.
It’s Not a Packer Either
It's the same player that was searched for the most in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Delving deeper, this player's popularity transcends state boundaries, being the most searched-for player in 49 of 50 states in America.
Do you have any idea? I'll give you a two-word hint: Taylor. Swift.
Yep, if you said "Travis Kelce," you'd be correct. Flash Picks says there are 4.75 million Google searches per month for Travis Kelce, making him far and away the most searched-for player in the NFL.
Travis Kelce: America’s Most Googled Player
His teammate Patrick Mahomes is second most, but a very distant second with 1.67 million Google searches per month. I'm not a math major, but people search for Travis Kelce nearly three times more than Mahomes, and that's nuts.
Minnesota was the only state that searched for another player more than Kelce. Former Quarterback Kirk Cousins is the most searched-for player in the state.
In case you're wondering, no, there wasn't one Chicago Bears player in the top 10. There wasn't a Green Bay Packers player, either. So, as a Bears fan, at least we got that going for us.
