Did You Get One? McDonald’s Snack Wrap Shortage Hits Iowa Fans
Iowa McDonald's fans have had a lot to rejoice about in 2025.
A newly remodeled McDonald's location in Eastern Iowa has just reopened. And perhaps most exciting of all, McDonald’s reintroduced its beloved Snack Wraps this month.
They're priced at a bargain $2.99 each, and have returned in both Spicy and Ranch flavors.

But it's those Snack Wraps that have, again, taken headlines. But this time, it's because many customers are unable to get one due to ingredient shortages.
Uh-oh!
McDonald's is Running Out of Ingredients
Snack Wrap mania has returned in full force. Reintroduced this month. In its first full week back, McDonald's saw store visits jump by double digits.
While great news for the Golden Arches, it's led to some shortages nationwide.

Because of the Snack Wrap craze, many locations ran short on shredded lettuce, tortillas, shredded cheese, and even McCrispy chicken strips, according to Eat This, Not That.
Some restaurants have even temporarily removed lettuce from McChicken sandwiches and suggested substitutes like McDoubles or McNuggets to handle inventory issues.
Fear Not, The Shortages Won't Last
Luckily, with demand comes supply... at least in this case. McDonald’s confirmed the shortages will be brief, and supply chains are quickly being replenished, with many locations fully stacked with ingredients again.
The surge highlighted how the company had underestimated customer passion for the Snack Wrap.
