
Man in Custody After Shooting Incident Near Dubuque; Name Released
According to our coverage partners at KWWL, A man has been placed in custody after a shots-fired incident near Dubuque on Today, Thursday July 20th, that resulted in a manhunt and also required several agencies to respond.
The Dubuque County Sherriff's Office has stated that a shots were fired and reported at Lost Canyon Mobile Home Park just outside of Peosta on Thursday. Two shots were fired, but nobody was injured. The complainant advised a gun was fired from inside the residence, which exited through a bedroom window.
Eye witness reports have so far called this a domestic dispute that escalated.
According to the City of Dubuque Police report page; 35 year-old Travis Lee Dauber was Arrested on charges of Reckless Use Of Firearm and property Damage at 14931 Lost Canyon Rd, Peosta, IA, on 7/20/2023 12:49. In addition, Dauber was charged with Domestic with Injury, Child Endangerment, Possession of a Control Substance, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, and Harassment 1st.
Following the shooting incident, the man ran to a wooded area behind the park. After a manhunt was initiated, he was captured by authorities as he exited the wooded area and walked onto a roadway.
