Meet ‘Van Hayden,’ The Hayden Fry/Van Halen Tribute Iowa Tailgate Band
There's going to be a new band on the scene at Iowa tailgate parties this year, and it's equal parts hilarious and awesome.
Van Hayden is made up of a bunch of guys who dress like Hayden Fry, and play Van Halen songs with a twist.
The twist is that the lyrics are changed to be more... Iowa football oriented.
For example, check out their song that sounds just like Panama, but it's Iowa.
The group has another song they're ready to roll out of their mobile stage converted ambulance - Punt, inspired by Van Halen's Jump.
Their setup looks pretty mobile, and their band page's bio on Facebook simply says "Coming soon to tailgates around Kinnick," so I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing a lot of these guys this football season.
