Name Released in Fatal Dubuque Motorcycle Accident
On the evening of Tuesday, September 17th, 2024, at around 4:53 PM, emergency responders from Dubuque Police and Dubuque Fire were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Roosevelt Street and Justin Lane, in the 2200 block of Roosevelt Street. Upon arrival, authorities determined that the collision involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
Tragically, the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 37-year-old Bradley Atchison of Dubuque, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing, though initial reports indicate that no criminal charges are expected. Atchison’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ankeny for a formal autopsy.
The Dubuque Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
