Do you make New Year's Resolutions?

I do...some for fun and some are actually things I want to improve on.

This year, like every year, I made a resolution to be nicer to people...and according to some, I may have already failed at that one.  It is a tradition that was started a few years ago and its meant for fun and to make me feel better about me.

My real goal this year is to make people that I meet feel better about themselves.  We all have this gift, we just tuck it deep down and keep it hidden.  Imagine turning someone's day around with a friendly word or asking about their family.  It's pretty simple, but it works.

Try this test...challenge yourself to compliment those you work with on a daily basis.  Every single day, say something positive.  It doesn't need to be about work and there are a million compliments you can give them (even if they are a Bear fan).

You'll likely notice that your workplace is more enjoyable and people are more willing to help you (and your business) succeed.  I have done this and I know it works.  Please try it and let me know your results.

Resolution or no resolution, dropping kind words to others can make a huge difference in your day and your life.
