It’s Time To Party For The Planet!
The river museum in Dubuque is an amazing place to enjoy a day exploring with the family. On April 22nd, stop down and celebrate Earth Day at their Party for the Planet event! The activity filled day is centered around conservation efforts in both agriculture and watersheds!
Visitors are encouraged to bring canned food items. Those that do will receive $5 off admission. All donations will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul food bank and the Dubuque community! General admission grants access to the day's activities.
Party for the Planet will features Creature Feature, artifact chats, and new activities in the makerspace. Interact with local and regional partners in the Boatyard to learn about conservation programs and bring home a white pine sapling thanks to Wagner Nursery.
Enjoy live music in the Boatyard from 10 AM to 3 PM by Barefoot and Sunshine! Other regularly scheduled activities like Behind the Scenes Tours, Stingray Feedings, and movies in the 4D Theater will be available for purchase at the box office.

Join the Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in a celebration for our planet and take part in their conservation efforts!
In addition, registration is now open for our 2023 summer camps! Camps provide children entering kindergarten through 8th grade with interactive programs all summer long! From learning how we make the food for our wildlife, to seeing the progression of technology with our POPnology exhibit; children have a variety of hands-on educational experiences available!
Wrap-around care is also available to relieve any drop-off and pick-up issues! Wrap-around care is for children enrolled in 1st through 5th grade camps. Drop-off starts at 7:45 AM and pick-up ends at 4:45 PM. Scholarships are also available for those in need of assistance!
