Popular Sweet Snack Recalled at ALDI’s Across Iowa and Illinois
Everyone loves a good sweet treat. However, if you recently picked one up from the freezer section at Aldi, you might want to double-check your purchase. Camerican International, Inc. has issued a recall for its Casa Mamita Churro Bites Filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Cream. This product is sold under Aldi’s store brand and is being recalled due to an undeclared allergen, specifically milk.

According to the FDA recall, these churro bites come in 7.05-ounce cardboard boxes and were sold in select Aldi stores across 13 states, including in Iowa and Illinois. The affected boxes have a “Best If Used By” date of July 14, 2025, and a Lot Number 01425 printed on them.
Why the recall? Well, milk wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the package, which can be dangerous for anyone who’s allergic or sensitive to milk. Luckily, there haven’t been any reported allergic reactions or illnesses linked to this product so far, but the company isn’t taking any chances. That being said, the company is pulling the product from shelves and asking customers to return it if they bought it.
The mix-up happened because of a temporary issue during production and packaging, but Camerican International says they’ve fixed the problem now. Still, if you or someone in your home happens to have a milk allergy and you love these churros bites, it’s best to return them.
If you’ve got one of the affected boxes, Aldi will give you a full refund for returning it to the store. And if you have any questions or want to talk to someone at the company, you can call Camerican International at 1-201-587-0101 during business hours or email them at fsqaincidents@camerican.com.
