Road Closures Released For Holiday Weekend in Dubuque
According to a press release from the city of Dubuque, Bryant Street currently has a northbound lane closure between South Grandview Avenue and Mount Loretta Avenue for concrete replacement until 5:00pm Friday, June 30th.
In addition, progress continues on the Northwest Arterial State of Good Repair Project as reconstruction of the northbound lanes from US 20/Dodge Street to Pennsylvania Avenue is now complete. This section is fully open, including the Chavenelle Road intersection which is no longer using temporary traffic signals and detoured paths. The Asbury Road right turn lanes and crosswalks have also reopened.
Today, June 29th, the Northwest Arterial southbound left lane from Asbury Road to Pennsylvania Avenue will close to prepare for head-to-head traffic and the final segment of reconstruction.
This will be followed on Wednesday, July 5th, by the Northwest Arterial northbound lanes from Pennsylvania Avenue to Asbury Road being closed. Traffic will be shifted to head-to-head in the southbound lanes. The Holiday Drive signalized intersection will be restricted to a right-in, right-out only configuration.
The Northwest Arterial State of Good Repair project is expected to be completed well before school starts in August.
Additionally, due to the Comiskey Park Ribbon-Cutting and Community Celebration event, East 24th Street between Prince Street and Washington Street will also be closed tonight, June 29th, from 3pm until 9pm Motorists will need follow the posted detour or use a different route during this time.

On July 2nd in preparation for the July 3rd fireworks, volunteer drive will be closed in the A.Y. Mcdonald Park area starting at 8am.
On July 3rd during the Airshow and Fireworks at A.Y. McDonald Park, Kerper Boulevard will close by 8pm or when parking lots in the area are at full capacity.
Those parked will be unable to leave until the event has finished.
