Firstly, Dubuque Fighting Saints forward Ryan St. Louis has been named the USHL's Forward of the Week for week 28 of the 2022-23 season. St. Louis is coming off, what is, his best overall weekend of the season factoring in on eight of Dubuque's twelve goals.

St. Louis started off the weekend with a bang, scoring once and notching two assists in the Saints eventual 4-3 win over Muskegon on Thursday night. He followed up that performance with another two goals, including the game winner, and an assist in a come from behind 5-3 win over the Madison Capitols on the road (video below). Then, with the series shifting back home against the Capitols, St. Louis assisted twice again in an eventual loss. He closed the weekend with a total of three goals and five assists.

Just two weekends ago, Ryan St. Louis broke the franchise record for goals in a game when he poured four pucks into the back of the net against USA. Since February 25th, St. Louis has 11 goals and 25 points. That's across 15 games. Those 25 points are the most in the USHL during that span.

This is the fourth time the Fighting Saints have claimed a player of the week award this season, with Max Burkholder winning Defenseman of the Week twice and Marcus Brännman for Goaltender of the Week once.

Tonight the Saints look for a chance to climb up the table and position themselves for a chance at home ice advantage in the first round of USHL Playoff Hockey Action. Tonight's match-up against the Green bay Gamblers is truly a percussor to play-off hockey, as these teams are likely to meet again in the play-offs and a 4th place finish ensures home ice advantage. This weekend sees us take on the current #1, Chicago Steel, with another chance to gain on the leader board in a split series.
