 This season begins at home with an in-state rivalry as the Waterloo Black Hawks come to Dubuque Ice Arena on Friday September 29th for a 7:05pm puck drop. The Saints then battle in-state rivals the Cedar Rapids Roughriders the following evening, Saturday September 30th, away from home.

After a year of playing area and conference teams consistently, this season sees the Saints take on more western conference teams. This year, trips to and from the Fargo Force, Tri-City Storm, Sioux City Musketeers, Sioux Falls Stampede, and Lincoln Stars will add to an already jam-packed season of travel and competition withing the USHL.

In addition, a new development will see a men's and women's college hockey team take the ice at Dubuque Ice Arena thanks to the DRA and Q Casino. The University of Dubuque announced the addition of Men's and Women's Ice Hockey to their NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Athletics Program with competition to begin for the school year 2023-24.
