Saints Trade Jeannette For Draft Picks; Weekend Preview
According to a press release from the organization the Dubuque Fighting Saints have traded forward Jacob Jeannette ('02) to the Tri-City Storm.
In exchange for Jeannette, the Fighting Saints received a conditional sixth round selection in Phase II of the 2023 USHL Draft from Tri-City. In 21 games for Dubuque, Jeannette registered three goals and three assists for six points on the season.
Dubuque had initially acquired Jeannette over the offseason from the Waterloo Black Hawks for conditional draft picks. The Fighting Saints now sit at 24 players on their active roster.
Heading into this weekend's match-up against the Cedar Rapids Roughriders who sit in 3rd place with a record of 15-10-2-1, the Dubuque Fighting Saints look to rebound after another split weekend; currently sitting in 7th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 13-12-1-1 overall.
Saints look to rally behind top point getter Ryan St. Louis who sits on 28 points from 9 goals and 19 assists. Top goal scorers are also the 2nd and 3rd place point scorers Max Burkholder and Michael Burchill respectively. Tune in to Eagle 102.3 for all the action from our house.
