Hosted by the Wahlert Catholic High School cross country and track and field teams, this year's Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 23rd. The event will take place at Wahlert Catholic High School, located at 2005 Kane Street in Dubuque.
Participants aged six and older have two exciting race options to choose from: a 2.5-mile course or a 5-mile course. The entry fee is a budget-friendly $15, and you can also snag a stylish long-sleeved Turkey Trot t-shirt for $20 on the race day, while supplies last.
One of the highlights of the Turkey Trot is the chance to win a certificate for a frozen turkey! The first-place finisher in each age division for both the 2.5-mile and 5-mile races will take home this delicious prize.
Online registration is open and available at holyfamilydbq.org/turkeytrot, with the option to register in person on Wednesday, November 22nd, from 6 to 7:30pm, and on the race day itself from 7:30 to 8:45am.
This annual event is not just about racing; it's also about giving back. The Turkey Trot is a fundraiser that supports the Wahlert Catholic High School Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross-Country programs.
