The bassinets being donated will provide a safe environment and mode of transportation for each baby born at the Family Birthing Suites. The bassinets are assigned to a baby even prior to their birth. Family Birthing Suites staff will use the bassinets to transport all of the equipment to the delivery room so it can be ready when the baby is delivered. After being born, babies will be transported using the bassinets, which include both locking and non-locking caster wheels. The bassinets are also anti-microbial, inhibiting 99.9% of microbe growth. They were additionally chosen because of their durability, ease of movement, and ease to clean after each baby heads home.
