Sweet Potato is a big-hearted, soulful girl who thrives on love and attention. Smart and eager to please, she’s highly trainable and responds beautifully to praise and treats. She knows “sit,” walks nicely on a leash most of the time, and is learning “come,” “leave it,” and “drop it.” Sweet Potato is crate-trained and even has a beloved two-treat tuck-in routine at bedtime!

Her past wasn’t easy; she spent a lot of time alone in a neglectful situation before rescue, but she’s made incredible progress in foster care. She’s now reliably housebroken while you’re home and has learned to trust and ask for what she needs. With patience, love, and consistency, she’s ready to blossom even more in her forever home.

Because of her size and exuberance, Sweet Potato is best suited to a home without small children, cats, or other small animals. Although she's had a litter of puppies, she would love to be the one-and-only dog in your family, soaking up all the toys, treats, and affection you can give.
