Target Sold Mac and Cheese Product Recalled in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin
Listen up everyone who loves that classic cheesy goodness in a bite-sized snack! A popular frozen food item sold at Target stores has been recalled due to potential contamination with metal pieces. Feel Good Foods’ Three Cheese Mac & Cheese Bites are being pulled from shelves nationwide, including stores in the Tri-States. You'll want to check your freezer immediately if you’ve recently picked up a box from Target, Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, Wegmans, or Sprouts.

The recall affects 8-ounce packages of the gluten-free, vegetarian mac and cheese bites, which come in a yellow carton (seen below). The impacted products have the following details:
- Best By Dates: 06/19/26 and 06/20/26
- Lot Numbers: 24354AV1 and 24355AV1
- UPC Code: 899039002808
The recall was voluntarily initiated by Feel Good Foods after discovering the possibility of metal pieces in the product. A total of 4,246 cases (each containing 9 units) are affected, bringing the total to a possible 38,214 boxes of products. The recall was classified as Class II, meaning the product could pose a health risk if consumed.
While no press release has been issued, the recall remains ongoing as of February 19th, 2025. If you have one of the affected boxes, do not eat it. Instead, you can return it to the store for a refund.
While these mac and cheese bites have been sold nationwide, there is a chance they could have made it to smaller, local grocery chains as well. If you’re unsure, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Make sure to check your box before taking a bite!
